SMIRNOFF

I was approached by the duo of photographers, Les Garçons to create a series of photographs and videos for Smirnoff, featuring a number of vodka-based cocktails. For both photo and video, they asked us to recreate the kind of light that you might see at brunch, or in the afternoon or early evening. Smirnoff was very interested in creating narrative images, and we were thrilled to have the chance to go deeply into developing the characters, places and situations for these shots. Every image evolved out of the drink itself – the colour, flavour profile and personality of the drink inspired all of our creative and narrative choices. It was a production marathon, but we had a dream team and shot some of our best work to date.
